1. PRE-BOOKING: The client makes the request using either email, facebook mensenger, whatsapp or phone call. The request is responded as soon as possible;

BOOKING: The booking is only made and confirmed after the payment is done and proof of payment is sent to Sophiatours to info@sophiatours.pt; For that the client makes use of the IBAN account, referring to the 100% amount corresponding to the all products and or services requested (unless other percentage applies upon previous agreement);

 

3. ​According to timetables and Schedules: Estimated times available for Sophia´s Tours is between 3 hours and 9 hours, depending a) on the on standard chosen tour, or  b) …on customization by the client with the consent of the tour planner \ tour guide, or c) …on delays due to unforeseen events, that are not direct responsibility of Sophiatours staff, for example, accidents on the road causing traffic or Stop operations enforced by Police or other Portuguese official authorities. Nevertheless is a commitment of Sophiatours to minimize these possible negative effects, if and when possible, by compensating (not necessarily by finance) the client. Also Sophiatours will not be responsible for missing departures like those from delayed cruise ships, flights, buses, or other similar situations, when it is sole responsibility of the client to comply with the plan and schedule given upon reservation, and during the tour by following the instructions agreed or the ones given by the tour guide;

 

4. On tour extra costs and conditions: Monuments tickets or meals costs are not included on the prices of the tours and other services as these are to be fully decided by the client. Visiting or not monuments are choices according to the clients preferences, as Sophiatours does not enforce on them. Nevertheless if there’s one client wishing to visit and other not so, the guide is obligated to comply with the first one´s request and give the suggestions possible for other occupation choices of the second or third client, for the same period of time to be occupied. Plus is total responsibility of the client to comply with the timetables and schedules, assuming the consequences if not proceeding as instructed by Sophiatours or the guide, specially while on tour. Be aware that the tours and transport services are for people aged between 16 an 80 years old;

 

5. Route and sightseeing sequence: Directions and sequence of visited locations or monuments can change due to unforeseen events, these impossible to control by Sophiatours, for example, on day closed roads or accesses, police enforcements; bad weather...;

 

6. Pick-up times: can exceptionally suffer slight adjustments on the day, so beyond considering the time on the clients voucher or booking details, it shall be considered also the possibility of 15 to 20 min delays on the times of the agreed plan. If anything happens on the tour day, Sophiatours will contact the client directly (if phone number is given and reachable) or the reception desk of the clients accommodation site. For this Sophiatours strongly advises the client to wait close to the reception desk of the hotel being this the place where the guide will search for him on the tour day and meeting time. Likewise it’s important that the client booking the tours provides the same name as the one on the accommodation \ clients hotel reservation;

 

7. Cancelation requests to Sophiatours:   a)… until 72 hours prior to the scheduled date of the booking, the refund is 100% ;  b)… until 48 hours prior to the scheduled date of the booking, the refund is 60% of the total payments done to present date; c)… during the period of the 48 hours prior to the scheduled date of the booking the refund is 0% of the total payments done to present date; Also, to all of the previous options is subtracted the fees and or transaction costs that are applied by banks \ credit cards payments \other similar ways of other Platforms;

 

8. Tour technicalities: Private Tour Customizable by the client; Tour available in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish; Water Bottles available; Full Cover insurance vehicle; Pick-ups and Drop-offs at clients hotel \ accommodation or designated spot upon pre-checked availability with guide; Entrance fees for local monuments vary between top prices of 10 to 150 Euros per adult (2026 references), and some reductions are possible for over 65 years old people or family groups; Having a lunch or dinner in a suggested local restaurant can vary between 20 and 30€ per person; Ask the guide about more info and specific references;

 

9. Transport technicalities and regulations for guests: Insured Private Mini Van with A\C; Transport complying with National Tourism and Health Authorities regulations against COVID19; Other transport options possible, customizable by client and under agreement with the guide, at additional cost and availability of third party transportation suppliers; Its forbidden to smoke, eat and have animals inside the vehicle; Guests are requested to comply with the rules inside of transportation and always wear seatbelt and keep feet on the floor;

 

10. Sophiatours operates legally under the license RNAAT nr. 1710/2018 issued by the Portuguese State, via Turismo de Portugal Ip, the official State department of the Government;
